Summerhill, Lilly, Ashville, Cresson, Wilmore, and Blue Knob were dispatched on the first alarm to assist Portage with a working structure fire at the intersection of Main St & Caldwell Ave in Portage Borough.  E861, R863 and U864 responded.  E861 and U864 staged on N. Railroad Ave.  R863 set up in the lot of Stager's Chevrolet for scene lighting and provided cascade service.  At 1459, the IC ordered a 2nd alarm.  At 1603, a 3rd alarm was struck.  Crews were working interior before being forced out by deteriorating conditions.  Well into the incident E861 repositioned to the creek at Rt53 & Lee Street to set up a draft to supply one of two tanker shuttles.  Crews were on scene for 7 1/2 hours.
